Apophyllite and Peach Stilbite cluster is a magnificent, museum-grade specimen featuring a striking contrast between icy, translucent crystals and warm, earthy tones. The cluster has a naturally rounded, dome-like habit, with hundreds of shimmering Apophyllite points radiating from the center, punctuated by soft, salmon-colored Peach Stilbite "bowties." Its impressive size and symmetrical form make it an elite centerpiece for any high-end mineral collection or gallery.
Origin & Location
-
Source: Almost exclusively sourced from the world-famous Deccan Traps in Maharashtra, India (notably from the Jalgaon or Pune districts).
-
Geology: These minerals form within the cavities (vesicles) of ancient volcanic basalt. As mineral-rich water cooled within these pockets, the Apophyllite and Stilbite crystallized together, creating these iconic symbiotic pairings.

Key Features
-
Radial Symmetry: The rounded, multi-directional growth of the crystals provides a powerful visual presence and allows the piece to be viewed from 360 degrees.
-
Superior Luster: The Apophyllite points are exceptionally sharp and clear, providing a high-gloss "shimmer" effect that shifts beautifully under directed light.
-
Aesthetic Contrast: The sharp, geometric points of the Apophyllite perfectly complement the softer, bladed "bowtie" formations of the Peach Stilbite.
Important Notes
-
Handling: Both Apophyllite and Stilbite are relatively soft minerals with perfect cleavage. This piece should be handled with care and kept in a stable, vibration-free display area.
-
Cleaning: Use a gentle air duster or a very soft, dry brush to remove dust. Avoid using water, as it can occasionally dull the pearly luster of the Stilbite or become trapped between the dense crystals.
-
Display Tip: This specimen is best showcased under focused LED lighting to highlight the internal clarity and the external sparkle of the crystalline tips.
